Ryan has been gaining expertise in the lending industry for the past 15 years. He began his career at Blackhawk Bank & Trust where he solidified his grounding in several different departments. Ryan continued his career at Modern Woodmen Bank where he served as a loan processor, and loan closer, for 3 years. For the past 5 years, Ryan has closely worked alongside John as his pipeline manager and loan originator. Ryan feels fortunate to have been able to learn from John, who he proclaims is truly one of the best in the industry, but even a better person. John has mentored, and guided, Ryan who now is our loan detective!
Ryan loves a complex file that needs digging. If it seemingly doesn’t work on paper, Ryan will exhaust all resources before surrendering. More often than not, Ryan will find a way to make it work. We keep Ryan quite busy, and he is never bored as every file is unique, and new scenarios are presented daily which keeps him fresh and up-to-date in this ever-changing industry.
When Ryan isn’t solving our loan problems, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends. Ryan and his wife, Heather, reside in Bettendorf, lowa, with their 2 children. His daughter loves to sing and dance, while his son keeps them busy with baseball, football, wrestling and golf, Ryan coaches many of his son’s teams, and personally loves to golf, play cards, cook, and watch sporting events. Ryan is grateful to work for such a fun company, with even better people.
Tayler graduated from the University of Iowa in 2016 and found herself with a career in mortgage lending shortly after. Tayler trained under John Cornish for four years before joining his mortgage team officially in 2020 after having her first child!
Tayler’s primary role on the team is working with buyers on their preapprovals and loan structure. She is determined to see Team Cornish exceed all expectations and have second to none loan execution and customer service. She believes each member of Team Cornish is the best at what they do, and she is proud to surround herself with them each day. The daily back and forth, learning from the team, and working together to accomplish our similar goals brings Tayler the most joy at work. As a team, each day is seen as an opportunity to grow and perfect their craft.
There is nothing better than helping individuals achieve such a monumental life goal, such as buying a house. It is rewarding for Tayler to not only help our clients close on their new home, but to ensure they have an accurate understanding of the financial aspects involved. The key is making sure buyers are put into a financial situation that suits their needs.
Tayler is a proud Bettendorf native and has lived here for most of her life. She gives back to her community by serving on the board of the Friends of Bettendorf Parks Foundation and as the President of the Key Cares foundation. When Tayler isn’t hard at work with mortgage loans, she is spending her time with her two children, husband, and Great Dane, Windsor! Tayler loves a good patio hang out, golf, her nieces and nephews, and a family dinner!
Business Operations Coordinator
Lindsay lives by the motto of “making other people feel important”. This led to a 14-year career in healthcare. While taking care of athletes, and rehabilitating their injuries was fulfilling, her niche was found on the operations side while developing policies, procedures, processes, and organizing events.
Lindsay’s story is special as she met John, and Key Mortgage, while her and her wife, Bethany, were building their own home. During this journey, Lindsay was always impressed with John’s team, and their ability to “make her feel important”. One thing led to another, and Lindsay has been with us since 2021. She started out as a Lending Coordinator for loans where she learned the ins and outs of a brand new career and industry. Lindsay continued to thrive with the operational side of the loan process, and joined Team Cornish in August of 2023 as the Business Operations Coordinator. She never imagined a life in the mortgage industry, but absolutely loves the ability to help people in a different capacity, it may not be to recover from an injury, but instead to make a life-long investment in their happiness.
Lindsay helps our entire team stay organized, consistently executes on behalf of our clients and partners, and strives to create an exceptional experience based on trust, not transactions. Lindsay will go above and beyond to make our clients feel important and ensure a successful lending relationship that transcends beyond a closing date.
Lindsay and her wife Bethany live in Hampshire, Illinois with their tripod rescue dog, Scout! They were fortunate enough to build a dream home next to their lifelong best friends and two nephews. She loves being active, watching sports, reading, traveling, and above all spending time with family and friends. Lindsay is beyond grateful for the life she lives and is so excited to see what the next chapters have to write.

John is a work horse! Went above and beyond to get me into my house. I received many emails late at night. That’s just shows he puts in the hours to get the job done!
John and his staff did a great job making sure I was comfortable with the entire process as well as being sure to let me know that I could ask questions about anything at nearly any time of day and would receive a response. I appreciated this tremendously as a first time buyer.
John Cornish was incredible to work with. We will never buy another home without him. He explained everything to us throughout the entire process and truly had our best interest in mind. He was trustworthy and kind. I would highly recommend working with him!

3 years ago I purchased my first home. Been through lender after lender with broken promises and deals, a lender completely messing up our contract/offer we finally found John Cornish who pulled through everything we needed in just 3 weeks. For any purchase here on out I will always go through John.
